Briggette Harrington

 Briggette Harrington is an international entrepreneur specializing in Africa, a business development specialist, and Pan Africanist.  She has assisted exporters in Sub-Sahara Africa export their products to the United States successfully by providing training in the areas of U.S. Customs, U.S.D.A., and F.D.A. requirements. She led a team of exporters of non-traditional products from Ghana to the U.S. to follow their products to market and meet with their importers, and U.S. government officials involved in the clearing of their products.

Ms. Harrington holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with a concentration in International Business.  She holds a Master of Science Degree in Project Management and a Master's Certificate in Organizational Leadership and Development.

She is currently the President / CEO of Igire Coffee Company Ltd. located in Kigali, Rwanda. The company was founded to empower the women that grow coffee in Rwanda while earning a profit. Igire Coffee Company purchases coffee from the Hinga Kawa Women’s Association, survivors of the 1994 Tutsi Genocide. We add value by processing, packaging, and exporting the coffee under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)

In 2016 Ms. Harrington returned to the U.S. from Ghana after ten years and consulted with African countries on the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA). She provided capacity-building services to African businesses in Africa to potential exporters of products to the U.S.

In 2006 Ms. Harrington launched Golf World Ltd in Ghana through foreign direct investment. Ms. Harrington was the creative lead in the build-out, start-up, recruiting, and hiring of staff, marketing, and management of a 3000-square-foot full-service golf store and two pro shops located at different golf courses. All goods that stocked the stores were imported from the U.S., Europe, Great Britain, South Africa, U.A.E., and China. Ms. Harrington ordered, cleared, priced, and stocked the stores.  She set up an accounting system that included an inventory of all goods.
